The Master (2 min)
My last blog was all about the spring festival that a big majority of Asians celebrate. In these few weeks that line up to welcoming the year of the tiger, the word, "master" is often heard and sighted.
The word master when used as an adjective means having or showing proficiency or great skills. In the world of Chinese metaphysics, the practitioner who is well versed in the field seems to be addressed as "master" and this includes both gender.
For example, I hear of master Lilian Lee or master Xuan Tze Choi being the popular way to know that these are the names of those practitioners who give astrology talks or run free astrology webinars around this time of the year. To me, this is really the old Earth style which evokes memories of the typical fortune teller. Further more they love posing with the luo pan in their marketing collaterals to look like the "master".
The typical "master" does much injustice to a novice's understanding of bazi by just looking at your year of birth to foretell your fortune for a new year. There are 8 characters that make up your bazi or natal chart. Thus the term bazi or 8 characters.
Moreover, a typical master will continue to confuse a novice and do injustice to the Chinese metaphysics field or metaverse (all fields of Chinese metaphysics that make up the meta-sphere) by telling one about lucky colours for the new year.
They will give fake advice in the manner of weak and strong elements for the year chart and advise the blind follower to put on a certain colour that are strong elements for the year.
Can wearing a so-called lucky colour change your destiny? The "master" should really look at the Pantone colour systems if he or she is really the master. Then the "master" can be considered the guru. I would also suggest that the "master" collaborate with fashion houses to grow their customer base.
Can a colour change your fortune or fate?
Your destiny is in your hands, not in colours.
Do I hear, "Yes, master!" ?
